Organized by the MCA and originating in Chicago, the Guggenheim served as the second venue for this traveling exhibition. Each of the three tower galleries presented themes looking towards the past, present, and future of Nick Cave’s vibrant career, including installation, sculpture, and video. The design, intended to be open and minimal, took many cues from surrounding architectural elements and integrated multiple, collaborative graphic interventions from the artist’s practice.
