Gillian Wearing: Wearing Masks
Gillian Wearing’s unwavering and extensive investigations of personal identity, roleplay, and what it means to belong stood at the core of this retrospctive including photography, video, sculpture, and painting. Across her decades-long career she has managed to not only observe but also evolve these themes while incorporating advancements in technology, current affairs, social media, and AI, supplying a lens for us to bear witness to the shifting digital landscapes and social interactions which surround us.
