Going Dark: Contemporary Artists Obscure the Figure
Notions of what it means to be revealed, concealed, cencored, observed, and obscured were central to the thesis of this large group exhibition showcasing the work of 28 contemporary artists which included painting, sculpture, video, and performance-based objects. Formally, the design questioned what it means to be a visitor within the Guggenheim’s particularly & naturally voyeuristic space while also accommodating a wide range of artwork specifications and requirements.
