This highly experimental movement founded in post-war Japan was committed to questioning, exploring, and redefining new art forms across space, time, and mediums. For this exhibition I designed and oversaw production for the eight site-specific installations and performance-based works, such an an inflatable room which could be built in minutes to house the Bisexual Flower. The Guggenheim also invited the artist Motonaga Sadamasa to recreate his installation Work (Water) across the museum’s atrium, cumminating in a playful, poetic, and colorful arrangement of brushstrokes through space.
