This monumental site-specific installation took full advantage of the rotunda’s void with an eighty-foot tall elegantly suspended curtain onto which the commissioned video work Anthem was projected. The artist’s vision was to create a sound sculpture using the architecture’s naturally amplifying geometry as each ramp offered new views and layered channels into the musical score. The rotunda floor’s fountain was absorbed into a giant platform, offering a base for the piece to rest, while carpeting on the floor welcomed lounging.
