Minimal by intent and nature, we collaborated with the artist and an outside landscape designer to conceive of plantings responding both to the installation as well as Frank Lloyd Wright’s original intentions to integrate plants within the space. The plantings gracefully responded to conditions over the duration of the exhibition making each visit unique. We were also able to fully engage the oculus by completely removing the semi-permanent cover, flooding the museum with natural light.
