Intervals was a multi-year series of installations where artists were invited to temporarily engage with the building in experimental and innovative ways.

The art-collective Futurefarmers imagined a site-specific cobbler’s station integrated among the activity of the busy rotunda floor, positioned to observe and serve as an extension of the city sidewalk. Daily programs, outings, readings, and other social engagements were held, culminating in a procession down the ramps wearing the clog-like shoes that had been created during the performances, while stamping out messages with ink made from city-soot.
